About the role

We are seeking an experienced Opening Lifeguard II to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of patrons at our facility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pool area for signs of distress or danger
• Respond promptly to emergencies and perform first aid as necessary
• Ensure proper lifeguarding techniques are being used by all swimmers
• Communicate effectively with other staff members and emergency services
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and facilities

Requirements

• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
• First Aid/CPR certification
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• At least 2 years of lifeguarding experience

• Strong swimming abilities
• Knowledge of pool safety procedures

• Ability to work under pressure

Pay

Salary range: $20 - $25 per hour

Schedule

Hours: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday
