Open Rank Teaching Professor - MS in Organizational Leadership and Corporate and Organizational Communication
Responsibilities
This full-time faculty member is expected to bring their her/his intellectual and creative capacity to bear in advancement of the programs, seeking to serve students by participating in a range of teaching and non-teaching activities that support the advancement of the programs. They will teach a full teaching load spread throughout the year and will work with the program office on administrative issues and programmatic projects. Faculty enjoy a collegial work environment that allows for work-life balance and are expected to be available to students online and in person as needed.
Teaching & Curricular Oversight (approximately 80% of time): Teach a variety of graduate courses in MS in Organizational Leadership and/or Corporate and Organizational Communication degree programs. Engage in curriculum development, program assessment, and the integration of emerging trends and practices into the academic offerings. Mentor and advise students, guiding them in their academic and professional development. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with industry partners.
Service & Professional Development (approximately 20% of time): Serve on committees that support the mission of the program and the vision of the College and wider University. Promote the discovery and dissemination of knowledge through scholarship, research, creative activity, and professional development. Travel In addition to supporting the campus, occasional travel may be required to the University’s global network of campuses. Qualified candidates must be prepared to work with global student populations
Qualifications
Terminal degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Organizational Leadership, Organizational Studies, Communication, Management or a closely related discipline by appointment start date or later.
Evidence demonstrating a history of professional practice and engagement in the field.
Substantial industry experience in organizational leadership, corporate communication, or community-focused organizational practice, preferably at a senior or executive level, with demonstrated ability to apply professional experience to teaching and learning.
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment.
Experience in online or hybrid teaching modalities.
Experience with industry partnerships, consulting, or collaborations.
