This is a full-time tenure-system faculty position in the Freeman School’s Accounting area beginning July 1, 2027. Hiring is subject to final budgetary approval by the university.
About the role
Assistant and Associate Professors teach rigorous and engaging undergraduate and/or graduate courses, produce high-quality scholarly engagement activities and publications, actively contribute to the research mission and research culture of the Freeman School, and participate in service to the Freeman School and Tulane University. Associate professors also provide academic leadership.
Responsibilities
- Teach rigorous and engaging undergraduate and/or graduate courses
- Produce high-quality scholarly engagement activities and publications
- Actively contribute to the research mission and research culture of the Freeman School
- Participate in service to the Freeman School and Tulane University
- Provide academic leadership (Associate Professor level)
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Accounting or a related discipline by July 1, 2027 (Assistant Professor candidates)
- Ph.D. in Accounting or a related discipline and must qualify for tenure at the Freeman School (Associate Professor candidates)
- Evidence of strong research and teaching skills commensurate with rank
- Collegial disposition
- Interest in providing academic leadership (Associate Professor level)
