Open Rank Research Services Clinical Sciences Professional (Entry to Senior)
Job Summary
The Research Services Clinical Sciences (Open Rank – Intermediate to Senior) Professional provides essential support to the Pathology Shared Resource by coordinating the collection, processing, storage, and management of biospecimens for clinical and translational research. This role ensures the integrity, quality, and traceability of biological samples and associated data while maintaining strict compliance with institutional policies, regulatory standards, and study protocols.
Responsibilities
Prepare and manage research staff schedule to cover research specimen collections during patient clinic visits and surgeries.
Data collection and management from medical record systems (EPIC).
Collection and processing of tissue and body fluid samples from clinical procedures.
Collection of research specimens from surgical procedures in the pathology gross room.
Development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures and compliance documentation.
Physical and digital inventory management.
Data entry and management in Clinical Research Management Systems (OnCore).
Tissue analysis and distribution for research projects.
Qualifications
Entry Professional: Bachelor’s degree in any field, one year of clinical research or related experience.
Intermediate Professional: Bachelor’s degree in any field, one year of clinical research or related experience.
Senior Professional: Bachelor’s degree in any field, two years of clinical research or related experience.
