Open Rank Professor of Political Science – Quantitative Methods for Social Science
Position Summary
The Department of Political Science at Indiana University, Bloomington invites applications for a full-time tenure track Open Rank position in the field of Quantitative Methods for Social Science, beginning August 1, 2027. Our goal is to hire the strongest candidate available who is doing interesting and important scholarship in this field and who can contribute to the Department’s mission and campus’s strengths in social sciences.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an active research agenda with strong promise of publication in leading venues
- Teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels
- Participate actively in departmental activities
- Contribute to methods training across the empirical subfields
Qualifications
- Completed Ph.D. degree in Political Science by August 1, 2027
- Active research agenda with promise for publication in high-quality venues
- Strong teaching credentials
