About the role

The Biomedical Engineering Department (BME, www.bme.udel.edu) at the University of Delaware (UD) invites applications for a faculty position in the Continuing Track. This is an open-rank search targeting candidates with demonstrated leadership/administrative experience. Candidates from both academia and industry are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Primary workloads in teaching (e.g., 50%) and service (e.g., 40%), with additional workload in research (e.g., 10%).
  • Serve as Director of the new M.S. program in Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP), which launched in 2025.
  • Teach classes in QSP at the graduate level as well as undergraduate classes in related subjects.
  • Support the growth and development of the QSP program and foster industry engagement with the program and department.

Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. degree in biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, pharmacology, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a closely related field relevant to QSP.
