Open Rank Academic Faculty in Biomedical Systems Engineering

Responsibilities

T teach classes during the academic year as assigned by the Dean, to include all of the duties and obligations expected of a college professor not limited to, but including grading, maintaining regular office hours, class preparations, and following university policies regarding teaching.

Research Persistent scholarship leading to national/international recognition and impact. Key measures of success include publications and presentations appropriate to your field, which can include articles on instruction in your field as well as other activities.

Service Service to the School of Computer and Cyber Sciences and Augusta University as requested by the Dean, service to the profession, including local, regional, and national/international leadership within the discipline.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity
• For Assistant Professor: Active research program with publications appearing in high quality venues, including journals and conference proceedings. At least five years at the rank of Assistant Professor or comparable training, background, and experience are required.
• For Associate Professor: Active externally-funded research program with a strong record of publications appearing in high quality venues, including journals and conference proceedings, and commensurate with being an emerging research leader in their discipline. At least five years at the rank of Associate Professor or comparable training, background, and experience are required.
• For Professor: Active externally-funded research program and a strong record of competitive federal or state research funding. At least five years at the rank of Associate Professor or comparable training, background, and experience are required.

Pay & Schedule

• This position is academic year based and typically works August through May, depending on dates outlined in offer letter and yearly contract.
• The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0.
