About the role

The University of Cincinnati College of Nursing invites applications for open-rank, non-tenure-track faculty positions. Faculty will contribute to the College's teaching, service, and scholarship missions. Candidates teach and provide leadership across undergraduate and/or graduate nursing programs, with assignments based on program needs and the candidate's qualifications, experience, and areas of expertise. Academic rank and track will be determined based on the successful candidate's education, qualifications, and experience. This position requires residence in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana or willingness to relocate as this is an onsite position. UC is unable to provide sponsorship for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and teach assigned undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses and seminars.
  • Attend meetings, participate in governance, prepare materials for teaching.
  • Evaluate related work for students and may serve as an academic adviser.
  • May serve on college or university committees.
  • Participate in curriculum development activities.
  • Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of responsibilities.
  • Review, and where necessary, respond in a timely manner to all University-related communications.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Nursing or a Nursing doctorate degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Active, unrestricted Ohio or multi-state registered nurse license, or eligibility to obtain the required license.
  • A minimum of five years of nursing practice experience.
  • A minimum of two years of nursing education experience.
  • Residence in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, or willingness to relocate.
