About the role
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of South Florida (USF) is recruiting a Maternal Fetal Medicine physician to fill its open academic position. This new physician will join our established MFM team who provide comprehensive maternal-fetal care.
Responsibilities
- Provide general and high-risk Obstetrics and Gynecology care, including ambulatory care, deliveries, and surgery.
- Teach medical students and residents through lectures, rounds, and clinical activity in patient offices, labor and delivery, and the operating room.
- Close encounters timely, follow up with patient requests.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must possess an MD or equivalent degree from an accredited institution and be board-eligible/certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Candidates must have successfully completed a Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship.
- Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.
- Interest in the education of residents and fellows.
- Must be eligible for an unrestricted medical license in the State of Florida.
- Successful candidates for these positions are expected to have an established record of academic productivity.
Pay
Salary and academic rank are commensurate with experience, qualifications, and sources of external funding. For appointments at the level of Associate or Full Professor, preference is given to individuals with an established research program and/or grant portfolio transferable to USF.
