Description
The Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Virginia, seeks candidates for a clinical faculty position at the Assistant/Associate/or Full Professor level, with subspecialty focus in lymphomas and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) as a clinician/investigator. Clinical track, rank, and tenure status are dependent upon qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Strengthen the clinical and clinical research efforts in lymphomas and CLL utilizing the excellent translational research opportunities and resources available at the University and UVA Comprehensive Cancer Center.
- Attend inpatient and outpatient services and participate in multidisciplinary team care and clinical research within the Cancer Center, for a growing number of patients with lymphoma and CLL.
- Actively participate in the teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students as an integral part of the educational mission.
Qualifications
- Candidates must have an MD or equivalent and be board-certified or board-eligible in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology by the appointment start date. Dual certification in Medical Oncology and Hematology is encouraged but not required.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine is required if not board certified in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology by the start date.
- Evidence of expertise in the care of patients with lymphoma and CLL is required.
