About the role

The successful candidate (s) will teach undergraduate courses in a specific discipline in World Languages & Cultures according to departmental need and employee knowledge, skills and ability. Courses may be taught in any of the languages for the classes that we offer. Appointments may be available part time for Summer 2026 and/or 2026-2027 Academic Year, all with the possibility of renewal.

Responsibilities

Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned based on the needs of the organization and evolving priorities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education and Experience: Master’s degree, an equivalent degree, or equivalent education and/or professional experience, for Lecturer.
    Bachelor’s degree plus 18 graduate credit hours will also be considered for Lecturer.
    PhD is necessary for rank of Assistant Teaching Professor.
    Degrees/credits must be received by start date.

  • Other Required Qualifications: Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal communication skills.
    Must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching.

  • Preferred Qualifications: Instruction experience and proof of excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level are preferred.

  • Required License(s) or Certification(s): N/A

  • Valid NC Driver's License required: No

  • Commercial Driver's License required: No
