Principal Functional Responsibilities
- Teaching and Service: Participate in pharmacy and graduate student education based on areas of expertise, contributing to direct teaching needs. Evaluate the success of teaching contributions based on student achievement, student evaluations, course/module director evaluations, and peer evaluations. Actively participate on college and university committees.
- Research: Participate in scholarly activities and/or research focus areas as appropriate. Seek extramural funding opportunities, write and submit proposals, conduct collaborative scholarly inquiries. Maintain extramural funding and productivity, generate a percentage of base salary through extramural support. Evaluate the success of this research obligation based on efforts toward publication and grant success.
Qualifications
- Pharm.D., PhD in Pharmacy Administration or Social/Administrative Sciences, or equivalent experience in an area related to Pharmacy Practice
- Teaching Experience and Expertise: An educator with experience in curriculum and course development and implementation. Contribute to the teaching and research missions of the College of Pharmacy. Successful candidates should be interested in educational innovation and up to date on contemporary educational approaches as well as being open to new educational approaches.
- Research and Scholarship: Track record of research/scholarship. Able to contribute to the research/scholarship mission of the college and able to mentor students, fellows, and faculty as appropriate. Engagement in public or professional organizations and/or leadership experience.
- Collaborative: Can work collaboratively with administrators, faculty, staff, and students at the college and the university.
- Humanistic Environment: Committed to building a humanistic culture/climate within the college and to fostering student success.
