Core Job Functions

  • Interpret Neuro, abdominal, and chest Imaging (body CTs, chest CTs, Neuro CTs, plain films), MR imaging of the body/ Neuro and diagnostic ultrasound.
  • Take evening/ after-hours/ weekend calls at UHT or at other locations as required.
  • Supervise performance of technical personnel.
  • Cover UMH, UMHC, Lennar and other satellites remotely from UHT; however, coverage at other areas may be necessary.
  • Exercise quality assurance as related to the practice of emergency imaging and diagnostic radiology.
  • Provide diagnostic imaging consultations as requested.
  • Provide emergency patient care related to imaging as required in the setting of a radiology practice.
  • Assume administrative responsibilities related to the practice of emergency imaging and diagnostic imaging.
  • Participate in the advancement and education of diagnostic radiology medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Serve on Departmental and University committees as requested by the Chair.
  • Accept assignments as determined by the department Chair.

Core Qualifications

  • Medical Degree
  • Diagnostic Radiology Residency
  • Abdominal/ Body Imaging, MSK, Neuro or Emergency Fellowship
  • Certification and Licensing: American Board of Radiology Certified or Board Eligible, Florida Medical License or Eligible

Experience

  • Competitive applicants will have completed at least 1 year of dedicated subspecialty fellowship training in Abdominal/ Body Imaging, MSK, Neuro or Emergency Radiology.
  • Prior experience in a university faculty setting preferred but not required.

Department Specific Functions

  • Practice Location: Jackson Memorial Hospital, UHealth Tower, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Lennar Foundation Medical Center, UHealth at Kendall, UHealth at Plantation, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at Deerfield Beach, SoleMia, UHealth at Doral.

Knowledge, Skills And Attitudes

  • Interpret Neuro, abdominal, and chest Imaging (body CTs, chest CTs, Neuro CTs, plain films), MR imaging of the body/ Neuro and diagnostic ultrasound.
  • In addition to the rich clinical experience, faculty will participate in teaching residents, fellows, and medical students.
