Clinical Faculty, Open Rank - Diagnostic Radiology, Breast Imaging
About the role
The Division of Breast Imaging in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, University of Miami Health System and Leonard Miller School of Medicine, is seeking a fellowship-trained candidate for a full-time faculty position at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Professor in the clinical educator track.
Responsibilities
- Active clinical practice in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Participation in the advancement and education of diagnostic radiology medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Provide clinical imaging services, mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and intervention.
- Supervise the performance of technical personnel.
- Exercise quality assurance as related to the practice of breast imaging.
- Provide breast imaging consultation as requested.
- Staff off-site outpatient imaging sites as requested by the Division Director or Chair.
- Affirmative administrative responsibilities related to the practice of breast imaging.
- Participate in teaching activities related to breast imaging as required in: Diagnostic Radiology and integrated Diagnostic Radiology/Interventional Radiology Residency programs, Breast Imaging Fellowship Program, Medical student education program, Radiologic technologist educational programs, Continuing Medical Education programs.
- Potential participation in the development and management of new and ongoing clinical research.
- Serve on Departmental and University committees as requested by the Chair.
- Teach medical students, residents, and fellows who are involved in direct patient care.
- Attend and actively participate in seminars and other educational lectures.
Requirements
Competitive applicants will have completed at least 1 year of dedicated subspecialty fellowship training in Breast Imaging. Prior experience in a university faculty setting preferred but not required.
Qualifications
- Medical Degree
- Diagnostic Radiology Residency
- Breast Imaging Fellowship
- Certification and Licensing: American Board of Radiology (ABR) Certified or Board Eligible, Florida Medical License or Eligible
Skills and Attitudes
Provide clinical imaging services, mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and intervention. Participate in teaching residents, fellows, and medical students, as well as clinical research, journal club, and weekly multidisciplinary conference.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
