Open Rank Business Services Professional (Senior – Principal)
About the role
The Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Business Services Senior or Principal Professional position.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for administrative support for the Division of Gastroenterology, Community Section and members of the Leadership team in the division exercising tact, confidentiality and diplomacy.
- Support the Gastroenterology faculty and fellows groups in terms of reimbursement, planning travel, and expense reports.
- All-encompassing facilitation and project planning for large-scale Division conferences and events including the Mehta Lectureship, Ahnen Memorial Lectureship, Rocky Mountain Highlights in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and Rocky Mountain IBD conference.
- May coordinate logistics for other Division conferences and events such as the Rocky Mountain Interventional Endoscopy Course, Grand Rounds, and Diversity Equity Inclusion speaking engagements through team support.
- Oversee all logistics and timelines, develop project plans, timelines, milestones, fundraising management and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with Course Director, Division and overall organization goals.
- Work with the Business Services Program Manager to manage the marketing, social media and promotional efforts for the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Duties include, but are not limited to, website content creation and management, new website page builds and layout, updates, social media marketing efforts, etc.
- Aid in the management of the fellowship program through tracking and recording of evaluations for fellows in Medhub, while consulting with AMION.
- Overall support in recruitment, onboarding, licensing, reimbursement, travel logistics, scheduling, and credentialing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Senior Level: Bachelor’s degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution. Two (2) years of professional experience providing administrative and/or business support in an academic, healthcare, hospital, medical, and/or University environment.
- Principal Level: Bachelor’s degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution. Three (3) years of professional experience providing administrative and/or business support in an academic, healthcare, hospital, medical, and/or University environment. A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
