Open Enrollment Representative/Customer Service
About the role
TEKsystems is seeking candidates to assist customers with their Open Enrollment period in the Baltimore metro area. The successful candidate will handle phone inquiries about healthcare eligibility and coverage, interpret complex eligibility information from electronic sources, and communicate it courteously and effectively to a largely senior membership. This is a high‑volume call center role with strict production and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Respond to phone inquiries regarding healthcare eligibility and coverage questions.
- Decipher complex eligibility information from a variety of electronic sources quickly.
- Deliver information courteously and effectively to senior members.
- Maintain high production and quality standards in a high‑volume call center environment.
Requirements
- 1‑2 years of medical customer service or call‑center experience, or 1 year of strong call‑center experience, or any open enrollment experience.
- At least 1+ years of customer service experience (healthcare preferred).
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
- PC proficiency in a Windows environment.
Skills
- Ability to interpret and convey complex eligibility information.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills for senior audiences.
- Proficiency with Windows‑based PC systems.
- Flexibility to work assigned shifts between 8:00 am – 6:00 pm (either 8:00 am‑4:00 pm or 10:00 am‑6:00 pm).

Pay
The pay range for this position is $24.00 – $24.00 per hour. Actual compensation within this range will be based on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other job‑related factors.
Schedule
This is a fully onsite position in Elkridge, MD. Shifts are either 8:00 am – 4:00 pm or 10:00 am – 6:00 pm; candidates must be available to work within the 8:00 am – 6:00 pm window and cannot choose their shift.
