OPCC RN-Outpatient Care Center Registered Nurse
About the role
The Registered Nurse in the Outpatient Care Center team at MercyOne Genesis Davenport Medical Center provides and directs safe, effective, and culturally-competent care for the pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient. Key accountabilities include assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care using critical thinking and evidenced-based practice; adherence to Professional Practice Standards as defined by ANA; and active participation in quality monitoring and performance improvement activities.
Responsibilities
- Provides safe, effective, and culturally-competent care for patients.
- Assesses, diagnoses, identifies outcomes, plans, implements, and evaluates care.
- Adheres to Professional Practice Standards as defined by ANA.
- Participates in quality monitoring and performance improvement activities.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse license in Iowa, required within one year
- ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications
- Limited responsibility for material resources
Qualifications
- No prior experience required
- Training in Basic Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation
- Certification in Med/Surg Nursing or ASPAN preferred
- Baccalaureate in Nursing preferred

Schedule
.6 FTE (24 hours per week), 8-hour shifts, 7 am - 3:30 pm, 1 hour flex start time, no weekends/holidays.
