Onsite Patient Collections Specialist - PRN

About the role

As the Onsite Patient Collections Specialist, you are responsible for assisting in verifying insurance co-pays, payment posting for patient's accounts, counseling patients on insurance benefits and co-payments.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance
• Post payments to patient account
• Arrange for repayment or establish repayment schedules, based on customers' financial situations
• Submit money collected at the end of each shift
• Data entry (knowledge of Excel spreadsheets) and scanning documents
• Answer customer questions regarding their accounts
• Speak with patients face to face using excellent customer service abilities

Reliable transportation is a requirement.

Qualifications

Minimum one year related experience preferred, preferably in healthcare.

PRN - every Weekend; 8hrs each week with availability for more hours.
