Duties
- Perform advanced clinical assessments and provide diagnosis and treatment for workplace injuries and illnesses.
- Deliver onsite care including but not limited to wound management, splinting, minor procedures, and triage.
- Determine appropriate level of care (onsite treatment vs. referral to outside medical providers).
- Respond to acute medical/trauma incidents and provide stabilization as needed.
- Serve as the primary onsite clinical resource for injury management.
- Develop and manage return-to-work plans in coordination with case management and client leadership.
- Communicate work restrictions and care plans clearly to employees and supervisors.
- Ensure appropriate follow-up care and continuity of treatment.
- Support injury prevention initiatives by partnering with site safety teams.
- Participate in job site walkthroughs to identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Provide education on injury prevention, ergonomics, and workforce health.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation in EMR.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and Missouri state regulations.
- Complete incident reports and client-required documentation.
- Develop strong working relationships with client representatives, project managers, and safety personnel.
- Act as a clinical liaison between OccuMedX and the client.
- Provide insight into injury trends and recommendations for improving workforce health.
- Ensure the availability and proper function of medical equipment, supplies, and medications necessary for emergency care and first aid.
- Conduct regular inventory checks, maintain stock levels, and oversee the storage and organization of medical supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness of the onsite clinic and office.
Qualifications
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Missouri required.
- Board certification (FNP, AGNP, or similar) required.
- Active Missouri Collaborative Practice Agreement (CPA) with a supervising physician (or ability to obtain prior to start).
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum 2+ years of clinical experience (urgent care, emergency medicine, occupational health, or similar).
- Experience in occupational health, construction, or industrial settings preferred.
- Experience with workers’ compensation case management preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
- May require extended hours, weekends, or variable schedules based on project needs.
