Position Summary
The Onsite Nurse Practitioner works with the Onsite Leadership Team at the assigned onsite clinic, implementing medical policies, procedures, and programs. They provide direct patient care, collaborate with the healthcare team, and ensure high-quality, efficient healthcare.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Spend 100% of time in the onsite clinic providing direct patient care, leading by example, and creating an exceptional patient experience.
- Ensure day-to-day execution of Concentra's clinical model, collaborating with members of the healthcare team to drive optimal clinical outcomes.
- Maintain key onsite clinic metrics that relate to quality outcomes, including chronic condition management, preventive health, and patient satisfaction.
- Provide advanced primary care, including chronic condition management, preventive health, age-appropriate screenings, vaccinations, social determinants of health, wellness initiatives, clinic utilization, and patient satisfaction.
- Offer occupational medicine services, such as timely return to work measures, case duration, lost time, work duty status, reduction in work-related illnesses, and improved functional capacity.
- Compile medical histories, conduct physical exams, diagnose, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Administer or order diagnostic tests and interpret results.
- Maintain detailed patient records and paperwork.
- Perform therapeutic procedures and instruct/counsel patients on compliance and health maintenance.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and revising policies affecting medical practice judgment and quality of clinical care.
- Develop and present education and instructional programs.
- Provide excellent and compassionate customer service to all patients, clients, and peers, incorporating Orange Book values.
Education/Credentials
- Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related health field from an accredited college or university.
- Master’s degree in nursing or related health field from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current licensed nurse practitioner in the state where employed and in accordance with state laws of practice.
Job-Related Experience
- At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, or an emergency setting.
