Responsibilities
- Ensure Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Load and unload solid and liquid waste & recyclables safely in accordance with Company, Federal, State, and local regulations/rules.
- Utilize hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts with attachments, and other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks and within the facility.
- Safely operate equipment to process materials including balers, shredders, grinders, extractors, pumps, tanks, and pressure washers.
- Properly sort materials based on pre-established guidelines for additional processing.
- Perform cleanup and housekeeping duties as directed.
- Utilize knowledge of applicable EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulations.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.
Requirements
- This is a safety-sensitive position; the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function.
- Basic knowledge of EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulations preferred.
- Ability to understand general industry practices.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including a respirator.
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
Qualifications
- Preferred: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Prior forklift experience.
