About the role
This role serves as the primary business partner, trusted collaborator, and advisor for leadership and employees in areas such as employee relations, change management, performance management, engagement, and retention. The role also involves actively consulting and providing strategic HR solutions, ensuring alignment with established policies and standards.
Responsibilities
- Actively consults and provides strategic HR solutions
- Delivers HR processes to business units, developing strategies and plans aligned with current and future needs
- Guides and coaches supervisors and managers on managing and resolving complex HR issues
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations through thorough and objective investigations
- Maintains knowledge of critical employment requirements and ensures compliance
- Supports employee performance evaluation administration and manages the yearly calibration process
- Executes proper onboarding and offboarding activities for employees
- Supports unemployment, workers compensation, and leave management practices
- Champions and adheres to company guidelines and policies
- Supports complex HR projects cross-functionally
Requirements
- 3-4 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, preferably across multiple disciplines
- Experience supporting high-volume call center, corporate departments, distribution, fulfillment, and printing facilities (hourly workforce)
- Experience supporting leave management (FMLA/ADA etc.)
- Ability to communicate effectively across various levels within the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent years of experience required
- Certification - Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred
Skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated listening, empathy, and risk management/mitigation/avoidance tactics
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Experience with UKG and SAP SuccessFactors preferred
