Onsite/Field Machinist C

Machinist technicians are traveling technicians that perform work on steam turbines.

Qualifications

• Ability and willingness to accept all domestic and international assignments, including nuclear plant work
• 100% travel
• Proficient with computers/software applications
• Demonstrates strong EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) values; participation in all EHS programs and a champion of No Harm
• Conducts him/herself in a professional manner at all times

Desired Characteristics

• Techs must operate or will be trained to operate all types of machine tools and balancing equipment, involving close tolerance work, intricate setups, and development
• Able to diagnose and correct mechanical trouble on mechanical and electrical equipment or will be trained
• Able to or be trained to completely disassemble, realign, and reassemble steam turbine components, replacing or repairing parts as required
• Skills may include: removing and reinstalling turbine wheels, rebucketing of rotors, nozzle scraping, operating machine tools to repair parts, silver soldering, brazing, and red dye inspection

All of the above skills can be trained at a Learning Center. Do not need to have all of the skills above in order to apply.

Pay

$39.72 per hour. This position is also eligible for Night Shift Bonus. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
