Onsite Exit Gate Attendant Part Time

About the role

Local candidates only. Onsite position at 73-104 Aulepe St, Kailua-Kona, HI 96740. Hertz seeks detail‑oriented individuals for a Part‑Time Onsite Exit Gate Attendant role, focusing on customer service, security, and rental processing.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and complete necessary rental information by scanning and checking the rental agreement using the handheld unit, checking customer identification, scanning the vehicle asset tag, and verifying vehicle movement tags.
• Provide optional sales items as directed by management, using approved sales techniques to disclose rates, terms and conditions, and obtain customer signatures.
• Maintain location and company security measures to mitigate theft; perform sight monitoring of the lot; ensure smooth vehicle exit through the security gate.
• Assist customers with directions, and review and resolve rental contract and vehicle issues.
• Manually log and release vehicles from the lot during computer system outages or unavailability.
• Perform related responsibilities as required or assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of customer service and security experience preferred.

• Ability to manage stressful and unusual situations while maintaining good customer relations.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to write clearly and concisely.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to speak and understand English.
• Car rental product knowledge and ability to use effective and approved sales techniques as required.
• Ability to type and perform accurate data entry.
• Ability to operate radio, security, and computer equipment.
• Ability to process all paperwork according to policies and procedures.

Pay

Hourly rate: $17.00. Sign‑on bonus: $1,000 ($500 paid at 60 days and $500 paid at 90 days of employment).
