Onsite Discharge Coordinator

Job Overview

The Onsite Discharge Coordinator is responsible for supporting the employed Hospitalist program to ensure timely outpatient or inpatient referral/authorization processing according to state and federal guidelines. They troubleshoot problem situations and resolve complex issues independently.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• MA or Medical Billing Certificate preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical billing environment (IPA or HMO preferred), with knowledge of Medi-Cal, CCS, and other government programs required
• Prior experience in utilization management, processing authorization referrals required
• Prior Lead position experience preferred

Compensation

$26.91 - $33.53 hourly
