About the role
Prepare wind turbine generator proposals, negotiate contracts, and assess commercial risks. Significant control over commercial priorities and substantial autonomy in executing commercial arrangements is required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and drive strategies to secure profitable business for onshore wind segments in North America.
- Collaborate with field sales teams and interface directly with customers throughout the inquiry, sales, and commitment management process.
- Mobilize and lead cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, finance, contracts, project management, legal, partners) to execute transaction strategies.
- Negotiate and close contracts, becoming the principal owner and driver of transaction details related to technical, financial, and commercial aspects.
- Analyze project-level financial models for cash flow, rates, returns, and net present value.
- Support quality initiatives to improve the Inquiry-to-Order (ITO) process.
- Achieve Commercial Team metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including commitments, orders, cash flow, and margins.
- Participate in customer dispute resolution processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, or similar roles associated with gas, steam turbine, power plant, hydro, or wind power products.
- Experience with reviewing customer specifications, proposal development, contract development, and direct negotiations for equipment and/or service sales and consortium agreements.
- Prior experience working directly with external customers to review proposals, present materials, coordinate meetings, and collaborate on problem-solving and mutual business objectives.
- Experience with contracts, legal theory, and commercial best practices.

Pay and Schedule
The base pay range for this role is between $108,600.00 and $181,000.00. GE Vernova reserves the right to adjust pay based on various factors including experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility is discretionary.
