Online Pharmacist

Position Summary We’re looking for an online Pharmacist to support a major pharmaceutical company’s direct online pharmacy. This role is responsible for reviewing, verifying, and dispensing prescriptions through an online platform while ensuring patient safety, medication accuracy, and compliance with applicable federal and state pharmacy regulations. This role provides pharmaceutical care in a digital environment, using electronic prescription systems, pharmacy management software, and virtual communication tools to support patients. Key Responsibilities Review, validate, and approve prescription orders received through online platforms, electronic prescribing systems, and other authorized channelsVerify prescription accuracy, appropriate dosing, potential drug interactions, allergies, contraindications, and therapeutic appropriateness before dispensingOversee prescription processing, medication preparation, labeling, packaging, and fulfillment to ensure accuracy and compliance with established proceduresProvide medication counseling and pharmaceutical guidance through telephone, secure messaging, video consultations, or other approved digital communication channelsRespond to patient inquiries regarding medication usage, dosage, side effects, drug interactions, storage, and adherenceCommunicate with prescribers and other healthcare professionals to clarify prescriptions, resolve medication-related concerns, and support appropriate patient care Required Qualifications Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree or other qualifying pharmacy degree from an accredited institution, consistent with applicable licensure requirementsCurrent, active, and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state or states where pharmacy services are provided, as required by lawWorking knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, medication dispensing, drug interactions, contraindications, and patient safety practicesDemonstrated ability to review prescriptions, identify medication-related risks, and make appropriate clinical decisionsFamiliarity with electronic prescribing, pharmacy management systems, and digital prescription processing workflows
