Responsible for
- Following Total Health Care’s Best Practice Pharmacy Procedures
- Verifying and documenting refill authorizations
- Auditing prescriptions filled by technicians and interns
- Supervising ancillary personnel, interns, and technicians
- Maintaining perpetual Schedule II and Suboxone inventories
- Completing incident reports for prescription errors
- Operating Pharmacy computer system and E-mail
- Understanding and operating participating third party plans
- Knowing technician procedure manual
- Developing understanding of merchandising and selling pharmacy related items
- Providing customer service
- Processing pharmacy sales and completing signature logs
- Authorizing refunds and approving checks and charges
- Maintaining awareness of the environment and reporting incidents
- Communicating with clinic staff, co-workers, customers, and other health professionals
- Managing inventory, including cycle counting, returns, and outdated merchandise
- Assisting with meeting pharmacy goals and Key Performance Metrics
- Assisting with inventory preparation and counts
- Maintaining a clean and professional pharmacy
- Assisting with maintenance of pharmacy computers and equipment
- Assuming management responsibilities in the absence of the pharmacy manager
- Assisting in training other pharmacy personnel
- Assisting in marketing and promoting pharmacy operations and services
- Working collaboratively with peers and management
Qualifications
- PharmD degree from an ACPE accredited school
- 2 years in retail pharmacy setting, experience in an FQHC setting preferred but not required
- Pharmacist License issued in the state of Maryland
- Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certification (preferred, or within 12 months of employment)
