Online Life Sciences Adjunct Faculty-School of Natural Science and Mathematics

About the role

Indiana University East, a regional campus of Indiana University, seeks qualified part-time faculty members to teach online courses across the natural sciences for their Life Science program.

Responsibilities

• Teach lecture and/or laboratory courses in an online, asynchronous format.
• Maintain accurate records through the Learning Management System, submit grades and other reports on time, and enforce school and campus academic policies.
• Be available to respond to student queries outside of class via email within 48 hours.
• Demonstrate the ability to develop a professional rapport with diverse populations and perspectives within the university and community.

Requirements

• An earned master’s degree or higher with 18+ graduate credit hours in the discipline of the course, or a closely related discipline.
• A demonstrated desire to excel in teaching and support student success.

Qualifications

• A current CV or resume.
• An unofficial copy of all graduate transcripts.
• A 1-page letter of interest that describes the subjects/courses the applicant is interested in teaching, or has experience teaching at the college level, or other relevant experience.
