About the role
We are seeking instructors to teach in our Computer Science programs. This is an ideal position for a Network Security professional. No prior teaching experience is required; we provide extensive training, mentoring, and ongoing faculty support.
Responsibilities
- Share industry experience and provide practical hands-on instruction
- Support busy adult learners who attend evening and weekend sessions
- Build connections with students using strong interpersonal skills
- Teach one live session each week and hold one live office hour per week via Zoom
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Information Science with 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline from a regionally accredited educational institution; CISSP Certification a plus
- 3-5 years industry experience required; 5-7 years preferred
- Appropriate technical certification or licensure (if required)
- Experience with Wireless Mobile Security/Networking/CyberSecurity, CyberSecurity policies and strategies, and advanced knowledge of virtualization and storage technologies
- The highest levels of integrity at all times
Skills
- Wireless Mobile Security/Networking/CyberSecurity
- Advanced knowledge of various security implications of virtualization and storage technologies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a 5-week accelerated course environment
- Comfortable being the first point of contact to troubleshoot software or technical concerns for students
