About the role

The Berea College Health and Human Performance Department announces a one-year, with the potential for renewal assistant professor position in Health Studies beginning August 2026. The successful candidate will have a terminal degree in health studies or related field.

Responsibilities

• Specific teaching assignments may include Health in Appalachia, Health Program Planning and Evaluation, Human Sexuality, and others.
• Contribute to the general education curriculum.
• Display professionalism when interacting with members of the Berea College community.
• Demonstrate a commitment to carrying out the mission of Berea College.

Qualifications

• A terminal degree in health studies or related field.
• Experience in teaching Health Studies.
• Ability to contribute to the general education curriculum.
