One Year Olds Lead Teacher

About the role

The role involves supervising a classroom, co-leading activities, observing children's interests, developing lesson plans, communicating with parents, and engaging with other childcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classroom and co-lead all classroom activities throughout the course of the day
• Observe children’s interests and work with co-teachers to develop creative ideas for implementing the Wonder of Learning curriculum
• Develop weekly lesson plans alongside our Curriculum Coordinator
• Communicate with parents daily, sharing their children’s latest adventures and achievements through a variety of avenues, including mobile apps and personal discussions
• Engage with other childcare professionals and continue to grow in your profession

Requirements

• A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred, with a Child Development Associate (CDA) certification preferred
• At least 1 year of teaching experience in a classroom setting
• At least 1 year of experience working with infants aged 6 weeks to 12 months
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children

Qualifications

• Highly motivated and able to take direction well
• Ability to complete weekly lesson plans and carry them out within the classroom
• Committed to following Goddard and state licensing guidelines

Pay

Salary range of $18+ per hour based on experience
