One Tree Per Child Program Intern

About the role

The One Tree Per Child Program Internship is ideal for candidates interested in careers in environmental education with hands-on and technical skill development, as well as those interested in careers in science education at large, environmental non-profit program management, advocacy, outreach, and community engagement.

Responsibilities

- Shadow the One Tree Per Child Program Manager in various tasks. - Work independently on assigned tasks supporting the OTPC program and the Tree Pittsburgh education team.

Requirements

- College credit internship requirements of 150 hours for the fall 2026 semester. - Open to discussing additional school internship requirements. - Encouraged to apply even if not seeking college credit or full 150 hours for their institution’s internship requirements. - A $1,000 stipend will be paid upon satisfactory completion of the internship.

Qualifications

- Strong interest in environmental education and science education. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
