Tree Adoption Program Intern
About the role
The Tree Adoption Program Intern supports and assists with different aspects of the Tree Adoption Program at Tree Pittsburgh, distributing thousands of trees to residents throughout Allegheny County each year.
Responsibilities
- Support the Tree Adoption Program Manager and Tree Adoption Program Coordinator on campus and in communities to prepare for, staff, and close out Tree Adoption events.
Requirements
This is a position for an individual who is looking to be on their feet, make a tangible impact in communities through an environmental non-profit organization, and is available roughly between August 24 and at least November 13, 2026.

- Available roughly between August 24 and at least November 13, 2026.
- Preference will be given to candidates whose availability best matches the desired intern schedule.
- A copy of your weekly class schedule for fall, if you are a student, must be included in your cover letter.
Benefits
The position can fulfill college credit internship requirements of 150 hours for the fall 2026 semester, and Tree Pittsburgh is open to discussing any additional school internship requirements. However, those who are not seeking college credit and/or do not need a full 150 hours for their internship are still encouraged to apply.
