Responsibilities

  • Utilizes Hyperspace computer functions to facilitate patient flow.
  • Completes patient forms and prior authorization forms as requested by physicians.
  • Maintains and responds to patient My Chart messages.
  • Triage and prioritize same-day messages, including prescription refill requests.
  • Collaborates with referral coordinators and HPS to manage Oncology work queues.
  • Manages Pomalyst and Revlimid patients, educating them on registration and completing monthly questionnaires.
  • Aids the pharmacy team with paperwork for oral oncolytics.
  • Assists with peer-to-peer reviews with physicians and insurance companies.
  • Consults and collaborates with the health care team to ensure patient needs are met and continuity of care is maintained.
  • Assists with patient appointment rescheduling and ensures a smooth patient flow and professional office environment.

Requirements

Must have current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Illinois. CPR certification is required. One year of oncology experience in a medical setting is preferred.

Qualifications

Experience with PC/keyboard skills and Microsoft office applications. Excellent communication and writing skills. Ability to plan, organize, and work independently. Professional rapport with employees at all levels. Excellent attitude and interpersonal skills. Compliance with OSHA safety standards and HIPAA regulations.

Skills

Pay

The base pay range for this role is $28-42, with actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.
