Role: Provides direct nursing care to oncology patients in a specialized unit, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs. Responsibilities: Promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on illness management, ensures safety and quality compliance, develops individualized care plans, and communicates effectively across care teams. Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs, addressing barriers to involvement. Qualifications: ADN or BSN required; RN licensure; preferably <3 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree. No supervisory experience necessary. Key Skills: Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking abilities; knowledge of oncology care, including high-acuity interventions; commitment to professional growth through fellowship and certification programs. Additional Information: Works in a 32-bed unit serving both Bone Marrow Transplant and Oncology patients, with multidisciplinary team collaboration.
