Oncology RN - $30-43 per hour

About the role
This role provides direct clinical patient care. The RN assumes responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per-shift basis and at the unit level. The role supervises staff to whom appropriate care is delegated and is accountable to support the CNO in ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
The RN provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to all patients and assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process. The RN directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, and Infection Control, with the goal of discharging the patient with an optimum level of care provided. The RN coordinates and plans patient care within the prescribed medical regime, administers all medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy, and fulfills all HICS (Hospital Incident Command System) responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed during emergencies or disasters.
Responsible for knowing the Hospital’s emergency codes, including the purpose and appropriate action for each, and adheres to the Hospital policies and procedures for each emergency code.
Requirements
- Graduated from a state-approved school of nursing or an accredited school (Required)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing (Preferred)
- Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy
- CPR (AHA BLS)
- If applicable by corporate policy for unit of hire: AHA ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP
Experience
- Recent acute care experience (Preferred)
