About the role
Medical Oncologist specializing in Sarcoma within an academic medical environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and expand a sarcoma-focused practice, representing approximately 30%-40% of clinical effort, while maintaining a broad general medical oncology practice.
- Engage in patient care, medical education, clinical research, and academic scholarship.
- Participate in multidisciplinary collaboration, outpatient and inpatient responsibilities, and shared weekend coverage supported by fellows and advanced practice providers.
- Contribute to medical student, resident, and fellow education, and participate in clinical trials and innovative research initiatives.
Qualifications
- Experience or qualifications for faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
- Strong clinical, research, and teaching abilities.
- Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and engage in scholarly activities.
Key Duties
- Provide personalized patient care, develop a specialized sarcoma practice, participate in academic activities, and contribute to clinical research efforts.
- Maintain a balanced schedule of outpatient clinics and academic responsibilities.
