About the role
This facility is seeking an Oncology Physician for locum tenens support to fill a current need. Located in Worcester, Massachusetts — known as the "Heart of the Commonwealth" — the city offers historic Victorian-era architecture, museums such as the American Antiquarian Society, Worcester Art Museum, Higgins Armory Museum, performance venues including Mechanics Hall, Hanover Theatre, and Tuckerman Hall, and hosts the annual Worcester Music Festival, the oldest music festival in the USA.
Responsibilities
- Work 10‑hour shifts, Tuesday through Friday
- Manage a total census of 12‑15 patient encounters per shift
- Handle Hematology/Oncology cases; bone marrow biopsy experience preferred
- Use Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Provide a mix of solo inpatient care management and collaborative work with other providers
Requirements
- Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology
- Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology
- Active Massachusetts state medical license
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification
- Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) certification
- Credentialing process completed within 90 days
