About the Role
Medical Oncologist with a focus on sarcoma, involved in patient care, medical education, clinical research, and academic activities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and expand a sarcoma‑focused practice, initially representing 30%–40% of clinical effort.
- Maintain a broad general medical oncology practice.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary oncology team within a major medical complex.
- Participate in inpatient and outpatient care, with shared weekend coverage.
- Engage in medical student, resident, and fellow education.
- Contribute to clinical research and academic scholarship.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience suitable for appointment at Assistant or Associate Professor level.
- Strong clinical, research, and teaching skills in oncology, particularly sarcoma.
- Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary, innovative environment.
Key Duties
- Patient management with an emphasis on expanding sarcoma expertise.
- Mentoring and educating trainees (medical students, residents, fellows).
- Participating in research projects and contributing to academic growth.
- Working within a supportive, collegial setting to advance the department’s mission.
