Oncology Patient Coordinator - Infusion (Full-Time, Days)

About the role

The Oncology Patient Coordinator position facilitates efficient operations, expeditious reimbursement, optimal patient satisfaction, and promotes teamwork within the oncology department.

Responsibilities

• Accurately collect and analyze demographic, insurance, financial, and clinical data elements necessary for coordinating multiple appointment types among various cancer center departments.
• Register and book patient appointments.
• Supports the clinic in maintaining and monitoring infusion, lab, and clinic schedules to maximize utilization and efficiency.
• Provide oncology scheduling activity to ensure efficient operations and promote teamwork.

Requirements

• Six months experience working in an infusion or medical oncology office performing general clerical duties such as scheduling, referrals, registration, data entry, and typing.
• Desired: Insurance verification experience and knowledge of oncology treatment and therapy plan protocols.
• Must be able to follow instructions, work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment, and possess good customer service and time management skills.
• Must have basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (Microsoft Office Suite).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

Pay

Your rate of pay will be based on applicable experience.

Days off: Saturday & Sunday
