The MSL serves as the local medical voice of AstraZeneca in the disease area of interest, and builds a local medical strategy to improve patient care and outcomes in their territory.

Responsibilities

• Act as the local medical leader responsible for developing a tailored strategy to meet the AZ USMA priorities in the disease area, as well as the local specificities and patient needs.
• Develop strong working relationships in different external business settings (e.g. academia, hospitals, managed markets, private practices)
• Lead scientific exchanges with oncologists, urologists and key members of the MDT
• Lead peer to peer scientific/medical interactions
• Gather insights on the treatment landscape, evolving healthcare environment and practice, barrier to optimal treatment and patient care or opportunities to improve outcomes of patients with cancer
