Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency, individually and as part of the multidisciplinary team, in performing clinical care and assessment of all patient populations.
• Assists with direct patient care, demonstrating maturity and discretion in dealing with patients.
• Provides clinical support to patients and staff.
• Provides office support, including typing, scheduling and processing forms.
• Maintains clinical equipment and supplies.
• Protects and preserves patient rights to confidentiality.
• Performs other job-related duties as requested by supervisor.

Requirements

• High school graduate.
• Completed certification as a Medical Assistant.
• Requires CPR certification and 3-5 years' experience in administrative/medical setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, computer competency (WP51), knowledge of transcription, and strong typing skills needed.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and demonstrated maturity to work with terminally ill patients.
• Proficiency in the English language and flexibility in hours needed for possible weekends and evenings.
