About the role
The Oncology Data Specialist abstracts newly diagnosed cancer cases, assists with case identification, and performs quality control procedures on data. Duties also involve responding to data inquiries, maintaining database records, extracting data, and submitting reports to state and/or central registries.

Requirements
- College-level curriculum in Cancer Data Management or equivalent education/experience
- Upon hire: National Oncology Data Specialist certification from the National Cancer Registrars Association
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree (preferred)
- Coursework or training in Anatomy and Physiology (preferred)
- Experience abstracting newly diagnosed cancer cases (preferred)
- Experience working in an ACoS-approved Cancer Registry (preferred)
- Experience using Cancer Registry software, such as ONCOLog (preferred)

Pay
The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based on relevant job experience and other applicable factors. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available.
