Oncology Clinical Nurse

About the Role

Provides direct patient care in an inpatient BMT Oncology Unit, focusing on high-acuity treatments such as leukemia care, stem cell transplants, and clinical trials.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs of patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on managing illness, medications, and post-treatment care
• Participate in safety protocols, quality initiatives, and regulatory activities
• Maintain clear communication across the care continuum

Requirements

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
• Nursing diploma or associate's degree; bachelor's degree preferred
• No prior experience required; less than 2 years of experience is ideal
• Position is safety-sensitive, requiring constant alertness and safety awareness
