Key Responsibilities
- Assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Developing and adjusting treatment plans, providing patient education, and coordinating care
- Conducting health history and physical assessments for inpatient and outpatient settings
- Supporting supportive care needs and overseeing clinical documentation
- Participating in patient education, quality initiatives, and clinical improvement activities
- Communicating effectively within the healthcare team and adhering to legal and ethical standards
Qualifications
- APRN or PA-C licensure in Nevada and national certification (AANC, AANP, NCCPA)
- DEA registration or ability to obtain
- At least 1 year of oncology advanced practice or 3 years of RN oncology experience
- Familiarity with EMR systems, preferably EPIC
Preferred Qualification
- Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP®) or willingness to obtain it
