About the role
Seeking an Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive outpatient care in hematology and oncology.
Responsibilities
- Managing patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions through assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and care coordination.
- Performing accurate history and physical assessments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing care plans.
- Providing patient and family education, counseling, and supporting health promotion.
- Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams and communicating treatment plans clearly.
- Maintaining thorough documentation, adhering to scope of practice, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
- Conducting inpatient and outpatient assessments, overseeing supportive care, and providing urgent care coverage.
Qualifications
- Active APRN or PA-C licensure in Nevada, with national certification (AANC, AANP, NCCPA).
- At least 1 year of oncology APC experience or 3+ years as an RN in Oncology.
- Familiarity with EMR systems (EPIC preferred) and DEA registration.
Preferred
- Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP®).
Pay
Compensation ranges from $104,500 to $156,000 annually.
