About the Role
An On-Call MRI Technologist provides high-quality diagnostic MRI services during overnight and weekend shifts, supporting 24/7 operations while reducing the call burden on the core team.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI exams following department protocols
- Verify patient identity and orders
- Review image quality
- Operate MRI equipment
- Adhere to safety guidelines
- Provide patient education and support
- Maintain accurate documentation and safety protocols
Requirements
- ARRT(MR), ARMRIT, or ARRT(R) certification
- BLS certification
- IV competency within 30 days
- Preferred 1–2 years of MRI experience
- Preferred bachelor’s degree
- Manual dexterity and strong communication skills
- Physical ability to lift and assist patients
Physical Requirements
- Ability to see and read clearly
- Effective communication skills
- Precise manipulation of equipment
- Lift heavy items
- Assist with patient transport
- Stand for extended periods
Pay
Hourly rates range from $38.77 to $59.82 depending on experience, with premium pay for on-call hours.
This is a PRN/on-call role and does not include benefits eligibility.
