MRI Technologist with weekend availability needed at HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital, a 392-bed acute care facility and Level II Trauma Center. This is a full-time position requiring rotating call assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of all MRI and associated equipment.
  • Obtain high-quality MR images, ensuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretation.
  • Facilitate procedures by selecting proper technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients.
  • Select, prepare, and administer appropriate contrast material if ordered.
  • Prepare, transfer, and position patients as needed, ensuring modesty and safety while utilizing auxiliary equipment/devices.
  • Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time.
  • Maintain proactive and effective communication with patients, caregivers, and radiologists.
  • Monitor equipment operation, maintain cleanliness to prevent cross-contamination, and keep the room stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities to provide optimum patient care.

Requirements

  • Vocational/Technical school diploma.
  • Valid ARRT registry.
  • 1-3 years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relation, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, and clerical skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
