ONBOARDING SPECIALIST (FULL TIME)
Location: Atrium Health - Charlotte, NC 28026 (multiple locations included).
About the Role
Provides administrative support to the Human Resources Director on all personnel matters. Assists with payroll processing and delivers a seamless onboarding experience for new employees while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Open availability is preferred; more details provided upon interview.
Responsibilities
- Supports all aspects of the pre-employment and onboarding process, coordinates new hire orientation, and maintains personnel file compliance.
- Conducts regular audits of employee records and serves as a primary point of contact for new hires during their transition.
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Conducts benefits enrollment for new employees.
- Verifies I-9 documentation, completes I-9 forms, and tracks/initiates updates as required.
- Submits online investigation requests and assists with employee background checks.
- Conducts audits of payroll, benefits, or other HR programs; recommends corrective action as needed.
- Updates HR spreadsheets with employee change requests and processes paperwork.
- Assists with processing terminations and preparing performance review forms.
- Assists HR Manager with research projects, special projects, recruitment, and interview processes.
- Manages employee discount coupons by contacting companies as directed by HR Manager.
- Schedules meetings, interviews, and conferences by reserving facilities at local hotels/restaurants.
- Performs clerical functions: photocopying, faxing, filing, preparing correspondence, and processing mail.
- Prepares new employee files and maintains accurate, compliant HR records.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous administrative and onboarding experience required.
Pay
$20.00 per hour to $26.00 per hour.
